Having been involved in quartet playing from a young age, Sacha developed a strong interest in contemporary music during his time at the Ensemble Academy in The Hague, where he collaborated with composers such as Seung-Won Oh and Kate Moore. He has performed solo and chamber works by composers like Lutosławski, Takemitsu, Seung-Won Oh, Caroline Shaw, and Sofia Gubaidulina, as well as works by emerging composers Juan Montero Palma and Annija Zariņa. His passion for quartet playing and contemporary music ultimately led to the founding of the Terminus Quartet, formerly known as Resonance Quartet.
